Another false prophecy.

Here is another FALSE PROPHECY given by Joseph Smith. This can be found in D and C section 84.

SECTION 84
1–5, The New Jerusalem and the temple shall be built in Missouri;

1 A revelation of Jesus Christ unto his servant Joseph Smith, Jun., and six elders, as they united their hearts and lifted their voices on high.

2 Yea, the word of the Lord concerning his church, established in the last days for the restoration of his people, as he has spoken by the mouth of his prophets, and for the gathering of his saints to stand upon Mount Zion, which shall be the city of New Jerusalem.

3 Which city shall be built, beginning at the temple lot, which is appointed by the finger of the Lord, in the western boundaries of the State of Missouri, and dedicated by the hand of Joseph Smith, Jun., and others with whom the Lord was well pleased.

4 Verily this is the word of the Lord, that the city New Jerusalem shall be built by the gathering of the saints, beginning at this place, even the place of the temple, which temple shall be reared in this generation.

5 For verily this generation shall not all pass away until an house shall be built unto the Lord, and a cloud shall rest upon it, which cloud shall be even the glory of the Lord, which shall fill the house.

31 Therefore, as I said concerning the sons of Moses—for the sons of Moses and also the sons of Aaron shall offer an acceptable offering and sacrifice in the house of the Lord, which house shall be built unto the Lord in this generation, upon the consecrated spot as I have appointed

Now we read the 10th President/Prophet of the LDS church teaching this,
We may be justified in concluding that the expression in the aforementioned revelation, for verily this generation shall not all pass, has reference to those then living, not to a period of one hundred years. I firmly believe that there will be some of that generation who were living when this revelation was givin who shall be living when this temple is reared...I have full confidence in the word of the Lord and that it shall not fail. (way to perfection, pg 269-270 1931)

Now here are some problems that show Joseph Smith was/is a false Prophet. Nobody is alive today to see this take place, The place where the temple was to be built has not been built as of yet. Then to make matters worse, The LDS do not own the land so they cannot build even if they wanted to. Hebrews (6:18) tells us God cannot lie. So who lied, God or Joseph Smith?

Now we read in D and C 57:1-2

Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, in Zion, Jackson County, Missouri, July 20, 1831. HC 1: 189–190. In compliance with the Lord’s command (Section 52), the elders had journeyed from Kirtland to Missouri with many varied experiences and some opposition. In contemplating the state of the Lamanites and the lack of civilization, refinement, and religion among the people generally, the Prophet exclaimed in yearning prayer: “When will the wilderness blossom as the rose? When will Zion be built up in her glory, and where will thy Temple stand, unto which all nations shall come in the last days?” Subsequently he received this revelation.
1–3, Independence, Missouri, is the place for the City of Zion and the temple; 4–7, The saints are to purchase lands and receive inheritances in that area;

1 Hearken, O ye elders of my church, saith the Lord your God, who have assembled yourselves together, according to my commandments, in this land, which is the land of Missouri, which is the land which I have appointed and consecrated for the gathering of the saints.

2 Wherefore, this is the land of promise, and the place for the city of Zion.

3 And thus saith the Lord your God, if you will receive wisdom here is wisdom. Behold, the place which is now called Independence is the center place; and a spot for the temple is lying westward, upon a lot which is not far from the courthouse.

Sadly this appears to be a lie also. The LDS were run out of Missouri.

D and C 62:6,9 says
6 Behold, I, the Lord, have brought you together that the promise might be fulfilled, that the faithful among you should be preserved and rejoice together in the land of Missouri. I, the Lord, promise the faithful and cannot lie.

9 Behold, the kingdom is yours. And behold, and lo, I am with the faithful always. Even so. Amen.

It says in D and C 62, that the Lord cannot Lie, his Promise is faithful and the Kingdom is your's, But that did not happen, so Did God Lie, or did Joseph Smith lie? You decide. Rick b

Their are when God or the prophet claiming to speak for God says their is a time limit, and in this case a time limit was given.

This is very clearly a false prophecy. Rick b
